Alice: lost & found Yesterday Alice went missing and didn't come home last night. I looked everywhere: crawled under the house, under the walk bridge by the creek, in the bushes and along all the streets and behind buildings. I left my number at the Quik-Stop across the street and tonight I got a call she had been found.

She was hit yesterday and the woman that found her took her to a vet. Alice had pain meds and x-rays and seems to be OK. I'm going to the hospital tomorrow to see her and hopefully bring her home.

11 (eleven) (pronounced /ɨˈlɛvɨn/ or /iːˈlɛvɛn/) is the natural number following 10 and preceding 12. It is the first number which cannot be represented by a human counting his or her eight fingers and two thumbs additively (although it can be represented in a variety of other ways using human bodily parts, such as counting additively with the twenty digits including the toes, using the thumb to count the finger phalanges of one hand additively up to twelve, or using the fingers in one hand to count up to fifteen binarily). Eleven is the smallest positive integer requiring three syllables in English, and it is also the largest prime number with a single-morpheme name in this language (although etymologically the word eleven originated from a Germanic compound *ainlif meaning "one left" [1]).

I worked for an antique dealer who also sold garden statuary that he stained. On the weekends I helped him unload the van and stain the cement pieces. Sometimes we delivered them to the clients. I helped deliver these and other pieces to this house about 15 years ago and they are still being used. He died last year. He was a unique guy. He found many old and cheap lights at the flea market and I would buff out the brass parts on a wheel all day. He sold them for a lot of money.

Alice likes the apple tree now that I have pruned it and cleared around the base. She nests here all day long.
