Portrait of a Senator meeting with his public

I found a few vintage transportation collectibles: a 1914 American Chauffeur magazine, a sepia tone photo of a chauffeur, a 1936 California chauffeur badge, and an old Budgie Model Morris car aka a London Taxi.
The fleet. Mostly 1998-2000 model with a couple 2003s. I like the 2000s best because of the buttons on the steering wheel: I can control the air temp & fan, the radio vol & track, and the speed control. The cars vary in color, black, platinum, white, champagne. I've also washed them at least a thousand times.
Sometimes I go to the embarcadero to pick up people coming back from a cruise. Today was sunny and warm. The ferry building is one of the few left after the 1906 quake. The City is mostly a 20thc city and now there has been a 21stc building boom.
The span between two cities. This weekend it closes for 3 days while a new roadway section will be slid into place. The old section will be demolished and cleared and then a framework built to slide the waiting finished section over.

Between the piers on the embarcadero the alleys curve in the same direction towards the bay. At pier 35 the disembarking cruise travelers crowd the sidewalk like immigrants at Ellis Island in the 1800s. Bring me your tired masses yearning to be picked up.

I spotted Mark Lesko at Oakland Airport. I asked myself, who is that? What does he do? Why is he wearing a suit like that? And there was the source of all that information right in front of me. Thats what he does: finds information.

There are a couple of red carpets in the hallway at work but we never use them. Our clients here on the left coast don't want them, they want a less formal attitude. It's different in Chicago, Boston, and New York. There the drivers wear uniforms with gloves and caps.
What's your poison? I heard a guy at an AA meeting say, "some days everything is fine and other days I could just drink poison." I thought, why would anyone want to do something like that?

These are the new pieces installed at the Continental baggage claim. I call it the Galleria Continentale.

These pieces are from the Galleria Delta. I think the teacher showed kids paintings by Wayne Thiebault.

Sometimes I have to wait a couple hours between runs. I found these images in a little shopping center. I saw Willie McCovey play ball at Candlestick when I was a kid. My younger brother and I were on a field trip with our Cub Scout troop. I wonder if they have a Veterans group.

Ive been seeing alot of orchids lately. They seem to be popular. I'd like to get one. Sally at the Chinese Village Restaurant has a wonderful collection.

This is the lobby of the Fairmount in San Jose. My tiny studio-ette would fit in there 80 times over.
The hotel is split in two, this is one of the lobbies across the alley from the main entrance.
Black limos reflect very well.

This was an upside down image taken off the hood.

This is King Street in San Francisco. Ten years ago this was an old run down area but since the new ball park was built there has been a surge in building. All these new places are less than two years old. There's even a Safeway here.
